The avatar sits on top of the lower left of an X header, and a centred wordmark disappears behind it on mobile. The layout has to account for that.
X formats
X headers are 1500x500 and are cropped more aggressively than people expect. On a narrow phone the visible band loses height from the top and bottom, and the circular avatar overlaps the lower left corner of whatever is left. Any design that centres its wordmark ends up with the avatar covering part of it.
The header in a pack moves the lockup right of centre and keeps the lower left third clear. The invite line sits on the right, where it stays readable at every width. The result looks deliberately composed rather than like a wide banner that happened to be cropped.
X does not animate header images. The format ships as a still at twice the target resolution, which gives a clean downscale on high-density displays. If you want motion for a post rather than the header, the square 1080x1080 and vertical 1080x1920 exports in the same pack are MP4s and upload directly.
