About animated banners
468x60 is the oldest standard banner on the web and it is still the default paid slot on gaming forums and FiveM listing sites. The size has survived because the sites selling it standardised long ago and have no reason to change, which means an animated banner at that size is a working piece of paid promotion rather than a legacy curiosity.
Sixty pixels of height changes what a banner can be. There is room for the server name at a readable weight and the invite, and that is the whole budget. No tagline, no second line, no scene detail. The layout here strips to those two elements, fills the height with the display type and keeps the motion to a slow sweep, because a fast flashing 468x60 reads as an advert and gets filtered out by the same instinct that ignores banner ads everywhere else.
The detail that decides whether the banner looks professional is resolution. The still renders at 1404x180, three times the target, because a 468x60 banner on a modern display is physically twice or three times that size and thin type at small scales is where softness shows first. The animated version is built under 4MB, which covers forum headers and listing sites, though traditional ad networks can cap creative much lower.

Questions
What is a 468x60 banner used for?
Paid placements on gaming forums and server listing sites, and partner rotations in forum headers. It is the oldest IAB standard banner size and still the common slot on those boards.
How large is the animated file?
Under 4MB, at 20fps over four seconds with a 200-colour palette. Some ad networks cap creative at a few hundred kilobytes, in which case use the still.
Why is the still so much bigger than 468x60?
Because the slot is drawn at the display's pixel density. A file authored at exactly 468x60 looks soft on any modern screen, so the still renders at 1404x180 and downscales.
