About discord server banners
The server banner sits above your channel list and is the one piece of branding your members are exposed to constantly. It is not the invite splash, which strangers see, and it is not your personal profile banner, which belongs to your account. All three get confused with each other, and all three are included separately in the Discord Pack for exactly that reason.
Two things decide whether a banner you buy is actually usable. The first is boost level: the slot does not appear in Server Settings until the server hits Level 2, so a community at Level 1 can buy the design but cannot upload it yet, and should plan for that. The second is file size: Discord refuses anything over 10MB, and a long animation at 960x540 crosses that line easily. Every animated banner here is encoded to a frame and palette budget that lands around 7MB, which is a deliberate trade rather than an accident of export settings.
Because the banner comes out of the same design as the rest of a pack, the server icon in the sidebar, the invite splash a stranger sees, and the FiveM strip in the server browser all carry the same lockup and the same palette. That repetition is most of what branding does for a roleplay community, and it is the part a single commissioned banner cannot give you.

Questions
What boost level do I need to upload a Discord server banner?
Level 2. Until then the slot is not shown in Server Settings. The invite splash and animated server icon unlock earlier, at Level 1.
Why does Discord reject my animated banner?
The 10MB image cap. A high-colour GIF at 960x540 passes it quickly, which is why these are built to roughly 7MB with a tuned palette instead of exported at maximum quality.
Is the server banner the same as the invite splash?
No. The invite splash is a 1920x1080 background behind the invite card that non-members see, and it unlocks at Level 1. Both are in the Discord Pack.
