FiveM
17 to 1 is a ratio nothing else on the internet uses, which is why a resized Discord banner is instantly recognisable as one.

banner_detail is the wide strip the FiveM client draws across the top of a server's detail panel, the view a player gets after clicking your name in the list. It is set with a convar in server.cfg, not uploaded anywhere, which means FiveM fetches it from a URL you control every time a client opens the panel.
The convar line is sets banner_detail "https://example.com/detail.png". The sets prefix matters: it marks the convar as replicated so clients can read it. A plain set will not reach the client and the panel will show nothing. The URL has to resolve to the image itself over HTTPS. A link to a Discord message, an Imgur gallery page or a Google Drive preview will not work, because those return HTML.
The layout problem at 1865x108 is that the panel is clipped on narrow client windows, and the clip comes off both ends. The design puts the wordmark left of centre and the invite ribbon in the right third, with forty pixels of dead space at each edge, so a clipped panel loses background instead of losing half your server name. Height is the other constraint: at 108 pixels there is room for one line of display type and a thin ribbon, and a second line of text is unreadable at the size the panel actually renders.
The still version renders at 3730x216, twice the target, because the panel is drawn on whatever display the player has and a file authored at exactly 1865x108 looks soft on anything high-density. The animated version renders at the same doubled resolution and is encoded as a GIF at 24fps over six seconds with a 240-colour palette, which is the point where the file stops growing faster than it looks better.
One thing worth knowing before you spend a day debugging: the FiveM client caches banner images aggressively. If you overwrite detail.png with new art, players who have already opened your panel keep seeing the old one. Change the filename, for example detail-v2.png, update the convar and restart. That is the whole fix and it saves people a lot of time.
At 17 to 1 the crop lands almost entirely in sky, light or surface, so a scene with a high horizon or no hard subject keeps its whole composition.
