Discord
This is the banner on your own profile card, not your server's. Different size, different settings screen, different rules.
Discord profile banner at its real ratio. Hover to animate. Previews are watermarked.
Your profile banner is the strip at the top of the card that appears when somebody clicks your name anywhere on Discord. It is 680x240, it is set under User Settings rather than Server Settings, and animating it needs Nitro on your account rather than boosts on a server. Almost everybody who buys one for the first time looks for it in the wrong place.
For somebody running a server it earns its price in support tickets. Your card is what a player sees when they click your name in a ticket thread, in an announcement or in a report. A card that carries the server's lockup and palette establishes, without you saying anything, that you are the person who runs the place. Staff teams that order the whole set and run matching cards get the same effect across the board.
The layout has one hard rule. Discord draws your avatar as a circle overlapping the lower left corner of the card, so that quarter of the banner is effectively unusable. These are composed with the lockup right of centre and the invite on the upper right, so the avatar lands on background. A 960x540 server banner cropped down to 17:6 does not survive that, which is why this is a separate render rather than a crop.
