FiveM
Servers that grow through clips are almost always servers whose name is in the corner of those clips.
FiveM watermark at its real ratio. Hover to animate. Previews are watermarked.
A watermark is the cheapest growth asset a roleplay server has. Your players already record clips, already post them to TikTok and Twitter, and already get views you do not pay for. The only question is whether your server's name is in the frame when they do.
The format is 768x288 with full transparency, roughly a seventh of the width of a 1080p screen. Large enough to read in a compressed phone video, small enough to stay out of the way. Because it is transparent it sits over bright desert and black night equally without a background plate.
Two animated versions ship for a practical reason. The APNG goes anywhere that displays an image: a FiveM NUI overlay, an OBS browser source, a CSS background. The alpha WebM goes anywhere that plays video, because VP9 WebM carries an alpha channel reliably while MP4 alpha support varies by player and encoder. Having both means you never re-encode anything to get it into an overlay.
On placement: top left or top right. The lower right usually holds the minimap and the lower left holds chat and notifications on most FiveM HUD resources, so a watermark down there ends up behind something.
